Well I did that once before and never got $900.00 back. I mean I really thought we were friends. I loaned her money so that her and her kids wouldnt have to move in with her mother. She promised to pay it back within 3 months. Its been 4 years + and I havent seen a dime. I was stupid enough to "help" her move into her house. set her house up, clean out her old house and move stuff from one house to the next. She was a co-worker and she also stabbed me in the back countless times. She borrowed money from alot of other people also that hasnt been paid back, however if she was honestly hurting for money, I wouldnt have given it a second thought. But the fact that she has been the "so called friend" that likes to stab people in the back and being the con artist she is and well i could go on and on.. All I can say is if you do, get it all in writing and make sure all parties sign, witness etc and on and on. Make it as much of a legal document as you possibly can. Good luck.. My luck on that has been bad. I am sure there are some folks that has some good stories to tell. However I am not one of them.

One of the riskiest things you can do in any relationship is anything dealing with money. Try and keep it from happening unless it's a true emergency and you don't need it. Maybe there's another solution to their monetary problem. Try to help them but lending them or giving them money is the last resort if you value the relationship be it friend or family.

I can't and won't lend money to a friend. If they are a real friend they wouldn't ask in the first place. Money ruins way to many relationships .....If I had a friend who needed something in paticular I would buy it for them and say hey don't want the money or I would simply just give it being the money to them....I have learnt that lesson a very long time ago

Never lend money to friends...... If you want to help...just gift it and that way you can make it a tax deductible expense. But I generally find that loans to friends rarely get paid... and friendship rarely survive.

Never a good idea. Good friendships turn bad with money. Money eats away at the bond between us. Don't get started and you won't have to worry that there is no way to stop.

I have a friend that I consider to be a brother. If he ever ask and I had it to give, you bet I would only because I know he would do it for me. Friends like him though are far and few between.

if the amount is small say under $10.00 I have no problem but over $25.00 forget it, you will never get it back. Follow the old saying"neither a lender or a borrower be" you will keep your friends.

I don't loan money to my friends. I give it to them if they need it, and don't expect it back. We stay friends that way. That's what friends do, they help each other if they can.
