religious versus non-religious. Or, for the non-sectarian, that the government does not espouse any one particular religion in how it conducts itself or develops policies. Of course, I see all religions to be no more than sects.

Sectarian acknowledges God's involvement in our affairs.

Non-sectarian feels sufficient unto itself.

The second is not doing so good from what I see.

the sect in sectarian stands for religious sect. So is it a govt based along religious lines or not ...is the distinction
