He is not entirely truthful with me but without his help these last few months I don't know what I would have done. He likes me, however he keeps his distance. He is very handsome. I care about him very much

First off why not just ask him. If he says no outright then respect his answer and do not force anything upon him, that is a sure way of turning someone off of you. He may keep his distance for a few reasons, maybe it could be he has been hurt deeply and just wants to let things happen the way they are meant to, or maybe he just wants to be nothing more than a good friend. Just don't push him as you may lose him as a friend

Did you hear what you are saying, sweetie???? "not entirely truthful"......."he keeps his distance"......what part of this are you unable to grasp onto??? Stop making a blabbering idiot of yourself and leave the guy alone! He is not into you so why in the world would he want to go on a cruise with you????? DUH!!! Grow up and see the light!

Just invite him!? Yeah, and make clear who would be paying for what right up front. It's pretty simple. If he is keeping his distance, you don't need to consider him "that special". If you want him to go, just ask. Do you wanna go?
