I've seen some messages regarding getting insurance to pay for a tubal reversal when its technically not a covered procedure, but I'm not sure how I feel about that. For instance, finding a doctor who will do the procedure and file the insurance claim as "removal of blockage of fallopian tube" or something like that. While I would love to be able to find a way to have the TR faster, I'm not sure that's an ethical move. I believe God made the way for Tony and I to be together and appreciate the love we share. I believe we will find a way to have the TR so that we can at least have a chance at having a baby together, concieved and born out of that love. But Tony and I want everything right with our marriage, and I'm not sure masking the tr as something else would be right. What do you think???

I had BC BS insurance that paid for my reversal! But that was a covered item, I would not try and defraud them at all....... You could get into a lot of trouble for that one! A tr is great they don't always work but if you are young and all of the factors are right they can and do work I have seen that first hand.........
I own 3 tr groups there are doctors that are way under 3500 just depends on finding them! IF you would like information on joining the group please let me know I would be happy to have you aboard!

For this to bother you so badly, I would say don't do it. I am almost the same way you are, except I feel that I pay my insurance company 200 a month and my employer pays at least that much, Between me and my children, we may average once a month doctor visits, therefore... I just feel that I would be justified doing it. But again, if you think you will have to live with guilt, don't do it. Just come up with the money when you can and you won't have that cloud over you.

I would save up to have the tubal reversal. I know it is tempting to try to have the insurance company pay for it, but you have to live with yourself.

And should the company ever find out about it, you'll have to pay them back.

Best wishes.

I'm also going to second the first answer! My youngest was adopted and my husband I love him to bits. ; )

Think about adoption because TR is not 100% sure that you can get pregnant and that would be alot of money wasted if you can not conceieve even after that.

I don't think it would be a great idea. As much as you may want to do it and as tempting as it may be...It is not worth the risk of going to jail for insurance fraud.

I agree with you. What comes around, goes around...karma...all that stuff. You've gotta trust your instincts. Good luck to you.

It's not ethical and it's insurance fraud. Are you unethical and fraudulent? I didn't think so.
