we didn't have much money growing up and I always found cool stuff at Goodwill and Salvation Army... it taught me how to be creative and original and still look cool.

Try a discount outlet store like Value City, Ross, Burlington Coat Factory, Sym's, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Loehmann's, or Century 21 (listed in order of increasing $$).

ebay can have some good deals on designer clothes; the downside is that you don't get to try stuff on first.

Also, try a second hand store. If you live in a big city, they can have some cool stuff.

Finally, most stores like Express, Macy*s, etc. should have back to school sales. Check out their sales rack; you can usually find discounts of up to 80% off regular or even ticketed prices.

Why would you want to spent that much on clothing? I know the peer pressure is on for all kids to dress "cool" or whatever, but I would suggest Walmart. They have some nice fashions and honestly.. you know it reallly doesnt matter whats on the label. They outgrow it, it becomes out of fashion as fast as it comes in, she will get tired of it etc etc, etc. Had a girl, (now 22) so been there and done that. Honestly she will survive on whatever you get her. Good luck.

TJ MAX is cool, but if you have the time hit a few good will stores, these days you would be very surprised at what kind of outfits and great things you can put together for her. I always hit those first then go to walmart and then pennys.

eBay! I found wonderful deals on clothes on eBay! You can search for lots and the childs size and you can find people selling multiple pieces of clothes for an even better deal. People sell brand new name brand clothes for lots less than you would find in the stores. If you don't want used clothes look for listings that say NWT (New With Tags). Happy eBaying!

Try a department store like Macys and JC Penny's. Go straight to the sale rack. You would be surprised by what you would find. Another good place is Marshalls, if you have one near you.
