Actually there are cars around in the States and Australia that indeed do work on water, a hydrogen cracking system called for lack of a better term "JOE CELL" look on google video and you will find several examples in other countries that are working examples, with a little creativity, and timing advance. you and a little electrolysis can go a long way on a small tank of H2O... sorry, if you build one here in the states, keep the hood locked and tell no one about it. they will come and take it or you won't like the alternative...

No. There are only two possibilities for such an engine. One, its creator is a fraud, and I would be wasting my money.

Two, the engine is a hydrogen fusion reactor. Suffice it to say I would not want any sort of nuclear reactor under my hood until it was an established and proven technology.

This is a bogus question. There is no way to make a car that will run on water. I assume you mean no other fuel, right?

The odds are much greater that Brittany Spears will come to my house, kick in the door, and have her with me in spite of my plaintive pleas for mercy.

There were con artists and nuts claiming they had such a car, pretty much over the last 75 years.

If it ran on water, would that mean you could drive it in the lake like a submarine? that would be awesome. I guess it would have to be fresh water and not salt water, so there goes the sea travel business, maybe they'd upgrade.
Anyway I'd buy a car that ran on water to get to work if it didn't look like a dork. If you ran outta water, could you just "spit" into it to get you to the next watering hole? That might be good too.

The government has had a car that can run on water for years and are keeping it from us. (sarcasm)
