join the no-call list. I did and it helped alot. Except for the bill collectors, I wish there was a no call list for them too.

Sign up for the do not call list. It is an invasion of privacy for these people to call your home and keep calling you back.
https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx
That is the website.. i think you can put three numbers in there that you don't want people to call. There is a time limit for them to stop calling you (i'm not sure how long it is but you have to read the info). If they call you after that you can take them to court for harrassment and invasion of privacy. Good luck! I hate telemarketers too!

This is easy and it works. Put your name on federal and state Do not call list. Run your state's name like PA Do not call list in search and see if that gets you there. if not try federal and state Communication Agency web site. There were links everywhere when it first came out. Been on it so long sorry can't remember more precise links. It was free to sign up.

1. Tell them to "wait just a second" while you yell, or rather, pretend to yell: "Hey! What do you think of...?" Then maintain absolute silence. They'll get the idea, and know not to call you anymore.
2. If you get a phone call, and no one is there, they are notating the time of day that is best to contact you with a computer. Immediately press the number six on the keypad, up to ten times. It will confuse the computer, and you won't receive any annoying telephone calls!

put yourself on the do not call registry. it will take a bit for them to get you on the list, but it's well worth the peace and quiet
