Okay. So this summer I had a swim suit that left me with a weird tan. It's very distinct! I was wanting to wear a spaghetti strapped shirt today, but you could see my funky tan. NO self tanners, i heard that ALL of them damage your skin.
I need some advice!

False tan does not damage your skin, most of them are really good for it...but if you want to fill in tan lines use bronzer. All you need to do is dip a big blusher brush in bronzer and rub it on your white bits in a circular motion (do this quite firmly) then lightly dust it over your tanned areas to blend it

Well, if you're wearing this shirt today...just go for it or use some blush or bronzer powder to lessen the lines of demarcation. BTW: There are several companies that make "self tanning" products that are moisturizer-based. Jergens & Olay are two that I used this summer and had wonderful results. I once used some some self-tanners I'd ordered from QVC and they were smelly & streaky. Also, a previous responder is right on: you are worried about a self-tanner and spent the summer aquiring a real SUNtan! Yep, it looks real cool to be all bronze & tan but the danger of a real tan is not worth it!

I can only see a couple options here, wear the shirt anyway (nobody is going to remark of funky tan lines), tanning booth naked (no tan lines) or put the shirt in the back of the closet and get a new swimsuit next year.

I like the first answer. Wear what you will, and don't worry about the tan lines!

use bronzer over foundation on the paler spot!
btw tanning under the sun is worse for your skin than self tanners...MUCH worse!
