It's a hard one.
Adult porn is legal, as long as no one is really murdered (snuff film) or their civil rights are really violated (rape, beating, etc.). Other than that, there is no "laws" on it.
The other thing is that all sites must make "good faith" efforts to make sure no minors can access the information. They usually do this by mandating a credit card number - even for the "free trial".

Adult non-violent porn is allowed in almost all jurisdictions but the strange stuff like kiddie porn and sex with animals is usually illegal. The supreme court has allowed local jurisdictions to set their own standards so it varies as to how far is too far. (ie some thing legal in San Francisco might be very illegal in Colby, Kansas.)
