If you are under eighteen, there are a few options available to you. The first thing you need to do is contact Children's Services. Your parent can NOT by law put you out when you are under eighteen without getting charged with abandonment and neglect. If you want to be gone, there are homes that help pregnant women and teens. You can even go to live in a foster home where a family will help you to get on your feet and help you raise your baby. If you would like to place for an adoption, they will put you in touch with the right people. Contact your local Children's Services Department first, as they will have every resource available to you, and may even be able to give you financial assistance to get started in your own apartment or independent living program. Good luck. I know this is all quite overwhelming. First things first! Get prenatal care and make that call to Children's Services.

You can call any of the oregnancy care centers around you, look under clinics and/or groups in the yellow pages. Call a shelter, they may have a number to an unwed mothers home, or try calling the township and/or city office of the town you live in. Also, you can try the local health department, or welfare office (I know it's not called this, but I forget what it's called no-days) If nothing else works, look up a womens crisis hotline. Unwed mothers homes are not, as some belive for going until you give your baby up. They will help you get your GED if you need it, a job, and pre-natal care, and will help you attain the skills you need to supposrt and care for your baby.

I would contact other family members first and see if there is anyone willing to help you. If you are a teen you should seek out Child and Family Services in your City/town if a family member can not help you. If you are an adult I would start applying for low income housing in your local area. You should also contact Health and Human services and see what aid is available.
Good Luck

call your local department of social services, they should be able to assist you in finding permanent or temporary housing, and give you financial assistance if needed.
