What should I do? Should I go along with it, and not let on like I know, or should I be gut honest, and tell her I found out?

Do you remember your younger years when you used to ‘make believe’?
It is time to do it again!!!
Try to put the surprise party completely out of your mind, and forget all about the email.
Your wife is probably going to go through an awful lot of trouble to make it a really good party for you, and you owe it to her to not let on that you know anything about it.
She has already sent out emails telling people it is a ‘surprise party’ so unless you want her to have to send out more emails saying that it is no longer a surprise, then you should let her continue to try to make it a special party for you.

Enjoy your Birthday Party… Don’t forget to act ‘surprised’ !!!

Oh boy! This is a sticky wicket here! I have to agree with many of the posters who said not to say a word! Don't! She will be crushed if you tell her you know, so be an actor - make sure you do your best Academy award winning performance for this one and appear shocked when everyone is yelling SURPRISE.

But there is good news here...you don't know who all is coming (God, I hope not), you don't know what she is getting you, you don't know what your guests are getting you, and (I hope) you don't know where it is going to be (tell me you don't!!!)..just keep it as your own secret..between you and we Answerers and she won't know.

She will probably ask (at some point after the fact) if you knew and you could say, "Wellllll, I had a feeling..." and leave it at that.

Meanwhile, HAPPIEST 40TH BIRTHDAY! Forty is terrific (says she who will be 51 soon - eeeeek!) Have a great day and remember, you must celebrate this milestone event for at least a month, or better yet, a year!

No, don't tell her. If it is really soon, you can pretend like you hadn't gotten to your email yet. If she is unfamiliar with how email works, she might not even have noticed that she sent it to you. You can act as though your filter caught it as a bulk mail. Of course, if she asks you directly, don't lie to her about it. Just tell her that you thought it was sweet, and didn't want to ruin her plan, so you played along. You got the surprise, just not as she planned, and you love her for going to such trouble for you.

BTW, Happy Birthday!

In this case, honesty is not the best policy, let her have her moment of joy in expressing her love for you and act surprised. Don't spoil it.

you could act surprised and then tell her later on how flattering and sweet it was that she would plan a surprise party for you, but you really knew about it already. that way she will know how much you appreciated it and you are being honest at the same time.

Dont tell her. If she is anything like me, she is probably excited about surprising you. She is going to be crushed if she finds out you know. She is wanting to make this perfect for you. Us women are mushy on the need to make our husbands happy. She wants to make you happy, So make her happy, dont blow her big plans for you.

Dont tell anyone but all of us yahoo answerers, because you dont want it to get back to her that you know.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! ..............old man...........hahaha......I had to add that. Im old too!!
