I have seen that on television and I think it is child abuse. They would feed their children all of the time and it didn't matter what they wanted to eat they gave it to them. When a child is that young they do not know that they are eating too much...like puppies...you have to give them a little bit of food at a time or they will eat as much as you give them. The parents say that they give their children the food because they love them.

Yes, if the situation get to where the child has unusual health problems, then the child can be removed if the parent does not change the child's eating habits.

yes .... the children don't know it so they keep eating ! In my culture parents think having fat children indicates they r well taken care of, coming from rich families !! so sad .... the poor children usually suffer later in life

As opposed to starving them to death? Excessive weight is not always caused by excessive eating, just as underweight is not always caused by starving. A female friend eats everything in site, but is so thin she disappears when she turns sideways. My oldest daughter was born at 13 pounds and stayed plump for 24 years, then her weight dropped down to normal for her size. My youngest had normal weight, but start gaining when she turned 20.

No, if you have over weight children put them on a diet, and go to the doctor they may have a thyroid problem.

Well, not really but if they feed them to much than that is different. If they actually fed them healthy than it wouldn't matter.

Just another example of the "soft bigotry of low expectations" that is endemic to our decadent society
