Apparently all it takes is to put off having that one next cigarette...forever! I personally wish there was somewhere affordable I could go where like a spa where they would lock me up and just not let me smoke until I was over the withdrawl. Maybe we could go into business doing it for others. I bet we'd make a mint. I have a high stress job and don't have the willpower to do it by myself.

I quit smoking with hypnosis. I went to a quit smoking hypnosis session with my best friend at 7:00 pm on March 3, 2005 and haven't touched one since. I am 33 and smoked since I was 11 years old and had tried everything the gum, the patch, even the pill Zyban, I feel much better and it was the price of a carton of cigaretts. I swear by it. No they don't make you do tricks

its in your head so set a date and set your mind to quit on that date and try really hard to stick to it. give yourself an awesome and very expensive gift if you can hang in there for the first month in the mean time see how much better you feel, how much farther you can walk, how much better you smell. then look at some lung cancer fatalities and you should be cured. don't go back and if you fall off the wagon, forgive yourself and get back on

Never quit quitting.
If you fall off of the horse, get back on.
Good Luck, I know how it is. I love it and hate it.
This last time watching a friend cough up his bloody lung tissue and die within 6 weeks of his diagnosis has curbed the urge.

The best way is to promise yourself and God you quit. If you start back you will only be lieing to yourself and God. You don't want to know the consequences of that.
