I just read that you can still ovulate & conceive without having a period. I thought I knew about this stuff, so can someone explain how this is possible? Isn't that what periods are all about?!
My Hubby & I have been trying to conceive, but I haven't had a period since the end of June. I'm not overly worried (yet) as I stopped taking Deprovera at the start of the year, so I know it may take some time for this to leave my system.
If this is true - it's good news for us!

The only way to ovulate and concieve without having a period is if you ovulate and concieve in the time window before the first period were scheduled to occur. Someone who isn't having a period at all isn't ovulating. All a period is is the discharge of tissues and uterine lining that the body has built up over the course of a month in preparation for a fertilized egg. If you just got off Depo not too long ago wait a bit longer before getting concerned. I've known people for whom it took an entire year for Depo to exit their systems completely enough for them to become pregnant. It will happen eventually.
