OMG, I want to shoot all those girls who replied to your question with "Oh I felt fine during my first trimester, just a bit of nausea" Eeeeuugghh, sorry if I sound bitter, I've obviously just been hit with a bad one. Before 6 weeks I was just a little nauseous and thought "Mmm, this isn't fun, but I can handle it." However, exactly on 6 weeks I got so sick it wasn't funny. For one week I had excruitiating stomach and intestinal cramping and spasming. I couldn't eat properly and wasn't going to the toilet properly and was throwing up. I was in so much discomfort I wanted to just cry and sleep to make the pain go away. I went to hospital and again to my local gp for answers, but once they found out the baby was ok, they really couldn't give ME any answers. I then secured an early appointment with my obstetrician who also couldn't give much of an explanation except that the progesterone hormone plays havoc with your digestive system and I just had bad luck. Lucky me! I then had another week where I was bedridden, but thankfully slowly picking up and eating more. Now I'm 9 weeks pg and still feel off every day, but thank GOD, I'm not as sick as I was. It truly was awful and I hope that the worst of it is over. If you get through this unscathed, count yourself extremely lucky. Good luck!

Symptoms of pregnancy are different for every woman. Some women experience morning sickness, however this can turn into all day sickness and for the most part lasts the 1st trimester. Sometimes the woman wont even have morning sickness until she starts taking the prenatal vitamins (switch to flinstones chewables if this occurs) Other signs are sore breasts, tiredness, horomones going crazy (lots of crying or yelling)and peeing alot. As the pregnancy progresses, of course you get the idigestion, swollen ankes, horomone rages...etc..

Symptoms will vary according to each person and each pregnancy. I was unlucky enough to have almost every symptom known plus a few more. Some common ones are breast tenderness, nausea, vomiting, and constipation.
I also had leg swelling and a feeling that my teeth were loose. Fairly odd but I had them.

You may begin to feel them before your first missed period but most people don't experience them until about 6-8 weeks

First of all, everybody is different. I am speaking about what I experienced during my first trimester.. I was nauseaus, felt light headed, could not take smells, fatigued, some breast pain...

The good thing is when you reach your second trimester you feel alot better however, they are some women who experience sickness throughout the entire pregnancy..

I had very few symptoms in early pregnancy, I was hardly ever sick to my stomache, the only probs I had was I gagged on toothpaste, I felt bloated all the time, and tired sometimes.. Every one is different so you may not feel different at all or you can be ill, it is really dependant on your body
