First, add a degree because it is armpit. That is 103 degrees and you need to give him baby tylenol and monitor his temperature to make sure it goes down for the period between doses. Get him to the doctor tomorrow. Get an ear thermometer as soon as possible. Good luck and God Bless you and your baby. Give him pediolite!!!
If the Tylenol does not lower his temp, use a cool rag on his forehead and go to the ER.

How any other symptoms?
Tylenol every 4, give him lots of fluids if he will drink. Pedialyte is the best for him.
Don't over dress him, let his body cool from the air. An axillary temp is about a degree lower then his core temp, so he really is pretty warm. Put a cool cloth on his chest and head. Not cold but cool.
If he has other symptoms, please post.
Temp is down, that is good. If he is getting tylenol, keep giving every 4. Wait a hour or 2 then try to hydrate him, give him some pedialyte in little sips. See how he is through the night. He may be fine by morning. If he is not able to keep down fluids in the morning, call your pediatrician, at 2 they can dehydrate pretty easy.
If you have children's motrin, and his temp goes back up, you can give both Motrin and Tylenol.

Well, making an appointment with the doctor would probably be the first thing I would do if it were me.
A fever is a sign that the body is fighting off a sickness, so call your pediatrician.

You're supposed to add one degree for axillary (armpit) temperature, so it's really 103F. I recommend a pediatrician call too. I vote for Baby or Children's Motrin. (You need to check the packages to check for the age cutoff.) It works best for my son.
Water and juice seem to work well for fluid replacement in our house. I do have Pedialyte popsicles in the freezer just in case though.

In the meantime, while you wait for his doc appt., make sure he has lots of fluids and if he seems uncomfortable, you can give him children's tylenol or advil.
Hope he feels better soon!
