Sorry, teacher butts in here. Why do you need to write this entry? Sounds like you are doing your child's homework. Helping is one thing, guiding, supporting but, doing it is not good for your child. He or she needs to do their own work. You wouldn't try to teach them to hit a ball by going to home plate and hitting the ball yourself would you? They certainly wouldn't learn anything, although your batting average might improve.

Have your child approach the teacher first thing at school and simply tell the teacher that he/she tried, but didn't understand or had a hard time putting it into words. But, please do not do your child's homework. You will hurt them over the long run if you do.
