Tom Brady as quarterback- he has the gunslinger skills, cool calm collective mentality, and experience to lead a comeback if you get down and the smarts and "busdriver" team first kinda guy that doesnt mind handing the ball off to win games.

Ladainian Tomlinson as runningback- hands down the best all-around running back in the game he has vision, speed, explosiveness, moves and he can catch the ball better than any other runningback and he has proven that he can carry the ball 30 times a game

I think that there have been some good answers to your question, but I wonder how different the answers would be if we were building an entire team based on salary cap considerations.

But, without taking salaries into consideration, I'd take Carson Palmer at QB (if healthy). That guy makes all the throws, is very accurate, and seems to have good command in the huddle. He's even made a few 4th quarter comebacks. If he's not healthy, I'd take Tom Brady. That guy is just a winner.

At RB, I'll take LaDainian Tomlinson. Larry Johnson is a close second, but LT is a much better pass catcher.

LT is your Running back because he plays the whole game...no need to replace him on third down and long because the guy is a great receiver...see 100 receptions two years ago.

QB, you have to go with Brady....a proven winner with that additional skill of "oh sh*t" being a Steeler fan or if you are fan of another team having played Brady you know this skill well. He steps back and you notice he has too much time...as his arm goes back you know he is going deep to someone wide open...Oh sh*t....he does it better than anyone.

Although at the end of this year I am hoping to change my pick at QB to Rothlisberger.

McNabb would be a great pick...he is going to kill people this year...

Peyton Manning I love but there is a snake bit factor starting to rear it's head with him...Great player but something always gets him in the end....ask Volunteer fans about that.

I'm not sure who I would likely be able to obtain, but if I could choose any in the league, then I would choose Eli Manning as QB and LaDainian Tomlinson as RB.

Eli is young and has the arm and mentality for being an NFL QB. LaDainian is the best in the league.

If I was building a NFL team I wouldn't start with a QB or a RB. Look at ANY of better teams in the NFL, what is the base strength of any of them? The OL and DL lines. THAT is how you start building a NFL team that will be good for several years.

QB either McNabb or Peyton Manning both are big talents, one made it to the Super Bowl recently and the other is a previous MVP

RB either Reggie Bush or Shaun Alexander come on, a Heisman winner or Super Bowl RB? Too hard to pass up!
