Go to your local library (online or in person) and see if they have a book called "knits from the heart." You could also look for it in your local bookstore, or craft store if you think you might want to buy it. It has patterns for childrens mittens, socks, hats, ect.. The mittens in that book are knit in the round and it's pretty simple, they look really nice plus they give you instructions for larger sizes as well. Try that book and I hope it helps. Good luck.

You could also look on the lion brand yarn website they have alot of patterns for all sorts of things. See if you can find find that book first though I think you'd be really happy with the pattern it has.

or you can go to lionbrand.com, they have knitting patterns for mittens too. ok let me add to my aother comments... I went a- looking, and I found it!!! allfreecrafts.com. they have a green/white striped pair, that uses wool, but you can substitute 4 ply. also try "drops.com." Click on the kids/childrens part of the website. It takes a bit of searching, but I use it alot!!! hope that helps.
