If you have xx chromosomes, you are female. If you have xy chromosomes, you are male. There are other combinations of chromosomes that are rare.
Most females with xx chromosomes look female, with the usual characteristics. Most males look male, but there are some exceptions.
In rare cases someone will have xy chromosomes but look female on the outside. I don't think all the female parts work, though, if you have xy chromosomes.

That question depends on our age and our culture. Eventually people realize that boys/men have a penis and girls/women have enlarged breasts and a vagina.

Vagina - menustrate every month in other words have your period every month then you are a female.
