i have a new video ipod that was working fine until yesterday. The screen always freezes and shuts down on its own and doesn't play my music. and its fully charged. Can anyone help me?

I can't turn it off or restart it. It just stays frozen with the backlight on.. like none of the buttons work... maybe i should just return it.. thanks though

restart it all you do is switch the hold on then off and then press the menu button and the center button at he same time until the apple shows up on the screen

Well you can try refreshing it by holding the menu middle button together for 3 or 4 seconds, that will restart the iPod. If that doenst work you can download the Apple iPod Updater by going to this website:
http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
That should reset all the settings back to factory default. If neither of those works and it is a new iPod just go to an Apple Store and exchange it for another one, or call 1-800-275-2273 to speak with an Applecare representative about exchanging it. Goodluck!

IF YOU HAVE TIME, TAKE IT TO THE PLACE YOU BOUGHT IT FROM. THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO HELP YOU. AND IF IT KEEPS DOING THAT, DEMAND THAT THEY GIVE YOU A REFUND AND GO BUY ANOTHER iPOD AT ANOTHER PLACE.
