Oh no. Who told you it would be equal. There is something that needs to be understood about western warfare. Its not equal and its not fare. In backward cultures the state of war is normal and expected to be a constant. In such cultures equal makes sense because wars are never meant to end so they have to be waged in a sustainable fashion.
In the western world warfare is an aberration. Peaceful commerce is the desired state. Wars are to be avoided if possible and if not prosecuted with overwhelming force. The aggressors will be punished to such a degree and with such severity as to make further attacks an ill bargin.
Equal has nothing to do with it. The whole idea is to make attacking us a bad deal. And the best way to do that is to make sure it is clear that any attack will be met with an overwhelming counterattack. The fact that any of this still continues tells me we didn't hit back hard enough. Hindsights 20/20 but its clear now if Afgahistan was a smoldering nuclear wasteland right now this whole mess might be over. And the attack on Iraq would never have been necessary.

Well, we are at 2.903 (3 killed yesterday and 2 today) Killed in Action and about 40-70,000 Iraqi dead, as Gen Frank refused to count civilian deaths initially in Iraq!
I don't know how many have been killed in Afghanistan or in the attack by Hezbollah on Israel, and their subsequent reaction to those deaths and those abducted!
I think the numbers are much higher than the ones you use!
It's funny a person below me said Israel's attack on Hezbollah has nothing to do with terrorism! What I wonder does he think about the bombing of market places and buses in Israel, or the 242 US Marines that were killed by Hezbollah who blew up their quarters in Beirut, are a terrorist group?
Death is a part of war, but the deaths in Iraq are unwarranted. Nobody should have died in Iraq! They weren't part of 9/11, they weren't part of any terrorist group, they had none of what Bush claimed they had, which was information 10 years old that we already knew!
That is murder in my book, not war, and Bush WILL be tried as a war criminal as soon as he leaves office!!

You know some of us conservatives listen to the liberal radio talkshows also. It helps us form our arguments against you idiots. Next time you want to use someone elses talking points try to use them to form your own opinion and make a good argument. Nice try though. By the way death is part of war or did you not pay attention in history class to all the previous wars we have been in.

Israel's only campaign is to defend its borders. The US is prosecuting the war on terror. Perhaps you have an alternative?
