YES!! Mesopotamia is commonly known as the cradle of civilzation...need I say more?

None of the above.

Greece had the most influence.
Democracy was "invented" there.
Western Philosophy started there.

Our history as Americans owes to all cultures & civilizations, but the biggest American cultural & political & philosophical debt to an ancient civilization by far was the Greek.

40% of English words have Latin roots so we can thank the Romans (& Norman French) for that.

Numbers we use originated with the Arabs.

Trade was common in many cultures.

Overall, I'm sticking with Greece.
