like: the seasons - fall, winter, spring and summer,
or stooges: Larry, Curly and Moe...
Be creative - give me anything you've got.

There are three branches of government. Four years to a president's term. Three little pigs, three blind mice, Aurora had 3 fairy godmothers in Sleeping Beauty, rub a lamp and a genie gives you three wishes.
There are 3 wisemen, Peter denied Jesus 3 times, there were 3 crucified (Jesus and two others) - but if you go to public school, we probably shouldn't go there.
There are four seasons, four basic elements (earth, air, fire and water), four horsemen of the Apocolypse (oops!).
There are four time zones in the US - Pacific, Central, Mountain and Pacific.
We had three Musketeers, Three Coins in the Fountain, but One was the Loneliest Number.
There were four members of the Four Tops, there were four Beatles (John Paul George and Ringo) and three in Peter, Paul and Mary, but only two Righteous Brothers (but one died). There were actually four Stooges - people always forget Shemp and three Cartwright brothers on Bonanza (Hoss, Little Joe and the older one).
I believe there have been three hosts of the Tonight Show: Jack Paar, Johnny Carson and Jay Leno. The Big 3 networks generally refer to ABC, CBS and NBC - which is all we had until Cable television came along. The television networks also have 3 "sweeps" months. February, May and November.
Financial institutions divide the banking year into four quarters. There are four quarters to a football game, but only 3 periods in hockey.
