I want to get some wheat pennies but I do not want to go on Ebay. Is there any place that sells rolls of unsearched pennies? Does the store sell rolls of pennies that diare not brand new?

No, wheaties are worth the same as any other penny, unless they are red or made of steal and VERY old.

Go to your phone book and look up coin dealers. Also check around to see if there are any coin clubs in your area. Remember wheat cents minted after 1940 are not worth much. An exception is the 1955 double die, it will stick right out, so you would know if you have one.

Go to a coin dealer and pick up Coin World and Numismatic News. They are coin newspapers. They have ads in them for what you want. Even though an ad may say, not searched buy us, it seems to me by now, that a lot have been searched by someone. There are out there though, jars of wheat cents put away in someones cellar or barn, maybe old desk. Part of the fun of coin collecting is the hunt.

You can get rolls of pennies at the bank to sift through. They don't remove wheat pennies. I don't know of any place where you can get wheat pennies otherwise though.

tag/yard/garage/sidewalk sales. Everyone has a giant jar of pennies that they're usually dying to get rid of cheap. It's just too annoying to roll them up and take them to the bank, yet no one can seem to throw them out.
