Go to the hardware store and get a special bit for Plexiglass, they are very inexpensive. If you use a regular steel drill bit it will probably crack the plexiglass.

Regular plexiglass will crack if you try and drill it. You need to use lexan it cost a little more but is break resistant and you can drill it easier. Go in from the corner or edge about an inch and slowly drill your hole if you go to fast it will melt as does all plastic, drilling causes it to heat up.Now about drilling holes in the computer....hmm get expert advice on that!!
~I work in a glass shop and say this speal every day~

Standard drill bit but go slow. If you go fast, the heat generated from the speed of the drill will melt the plexiglass and stick to the bit causing it not to cut. It wont look nice when your done.
Also, leave the protective paper covering on it when drilling. It will keep the hot plastic pieces from ruining the rest of your piece of plexi.

A Dremel Moto-Tool. The latest, cordless one is terrific.

I'd also wear safety goggles, long sleeves, and a face mask.
Plexi-glass bits can be nasty :)
