little tiny hairs... hairs that will grow only to a specific length and no more. But why? Do we have the science to figure this one out? weird...

Same with other body hairs. I guess it's because if you are an animal, extra long hairs could be cumbersome to run around with. I think the question more is....why are head hairs able to grow so long?

they fall out when the reach a certain length, then a new batch grows in.
