You probably suck at art because you:
1. are not that good yet,
2. don't have the right tools or use the right drawing techniques,
3. don't have any reference used,
4. got lazy doing/copying all the details and/or
5. don't have enough confidence (or the drive) to make good artworks.
I suggest you:
1. get into art classes if you want a formal training to make your artworks better,
2. start practicing different kind of techniques in drawing/ shading etc.,
3. practice more by copying from nature or actual pictures of objects (first, then plants, animals and humans later).
4. start giving more attention to detail and how to recreate it in your own way and lastly
5. believe in yourself and your ability to create better looking artwork each time you make one until you're doing better.
But i believe, personally, artists do not always become the best in what they do because it is a continuing process... much like learning, it is unending... when you say that you are great (or for others greater than other people - much like being the best in the world or even *gakhh* the universe), then your learning and growing is done because you are so.
*Abstract art is derived from nature (or naturalistic/realistic artworks) so i suggest you learn a bit more in making naturalistic artworks before delving into abstracts and all those other stuff.*
Hope some of my tips could help you. =) good luck

Maybe your classmates were just picking on you. It's not the end of the world if you can't draw, but with a little practice I bet you'd become much better at it. Somethings I can't draw at all, but other things I draw pretty well.

Aaawww....LOL Don't feel bad. You are probably good at something else. Not everyone can draw. Mabe you are a good writer. You can always get someone else to do the illustrations. Or maybe you can sing well, or dance well. Maybe your are good at math. There is something that you are very good at...you just need to find out what that is.

You don't suck. You're just at an early stage of development.
Go to a field and practice. Take a hard surface, paper, pencil, and eraser.
You will find that you get better with practice.

tell your class to suck it up. Work to your own ablity, and try your best. Your work is as good as you want it to be if you really believe. I hope your cows look like rats next time, cuz it's you

Tell them that you are poor and get your milk from rats. That's why you draw cows that look like rats.
But seriously, it sounds like your classmates suck.

wrong conclusion. you have an expressionistic flair, and your classmates have no vision. be wise, never let what others say, especially about your artistic efforts EVER influence how you view yourself or what you choose to do, including in the art realm. most humans are completely without taste in most areas of life. follow your intuition and have the courage to go your own way in all things ;-)
