It really depends on your own personal preferences. Checkers is a fun game, with several viarations to the rules.
Chess, which is also fun, requires thought and strategical thinking. I like both of them, its just not as easy to find someone that knows how to play chess, but i love the challenge of the game.
I prefer chess

I always lose at chess,so I say checkers because it's easier.
