why is it "derogatory"?

the word "gay" is only derogetory to those ignorant idiots who think that being homosexual is derogetory. it kinda makes you scratch your head and say" i sure hope homosexuals dont think being heterosexual is derogetory" because they may start a new fad where the word "straight" becomes an insult!

Dont know. Derogatory means, expressing a low opionon or negative criticism....Maybe gay is a neg. term for homosexuals. Maybe they don't like being called gay.

Haven't you heard or read what Jesus said in the Bible, my dear?
Being gay is a no-no, every God fearing person knows that. At the same time I think most of them are using the law that protects them in such a way that they are in your face. If you know what I mean. That's why it seems deragatory. To me, a gay person is a gay person as long as they know enough to leave me alone. If not, then he/she is asking for it and all hell will shake loose. Good enough, yes?
