As a wife myself I understand where you're coming from as I would feel unimportant and left out if this happened to me. I don't know what he means by "it's a guy thing" but I would suggest u have a talk with him when he gets home and let him know u feel left out of the picture.

If you are involved in his friend's life, then you should have been invited - no questions asked. Its actually very weird that he would up and decide to go on his own anyway - usually visiting a new mother in a hospital is a GIRL thing. Not saying that there aren't caring guys out there who are interested in seeing a new baby, but come on.. to go about it like that??
I would get upset, but you know what? I would also get in the car (or find a friend who doesn't mind driving me) and go to the hospital too. There is no reason for you to not see the new baby if his friend is your friend too.

only if he didn't want to go with me at a different time. I'm not sure why all the guys would want to go to the hospital to visit but I wouldn't want to go with all the guys. I also would have been very uncomfortable if I was the wife in the hospital and a whole bunch of guys came to visit. I say don't sweat the little things it's not high on the bad thing to do list.

I think I'd be more surprised that my husband would be interested in someone else's newborn baby. My husband doesn't visit other people's homes, let alone visiting someone in the hospital.
I'd definitely be asking why he would be going to visit someone at the hospital, with or without me. I'm the one who goes to visit people at the hospital, not him.
As for him meeting other men at the hospital to see this baby, that's also not happening, because his friends all live out of state, so would be a really strange scenario for him.

Only you know your husband best. Is this typical? It sounds rather fishy to the outsider. How likely is it that a bunch of 'guys' go off to the hospital to see a woman and her new baby???? My husband certainly would feel alittle awkward in doing that without me....so, I'd check it out...what are those boys up to....hmmmm??

Well, first off she had a baby and some guys want to go see her. That is a guy thing. Surely you wouldn't want to be the only women with 3 or 4 other guys would you?????????

I'd go along with Bored at Work, and say all these guys went to see which one of them the baby resembles. That's the one who treats everyone else to cigars and drinks right after that, which IS a GUY thing.
Believe me, you wouldn't want to be at that celebration!

Seeing a gal who just had a baby is qualified as a "guy" thing nowadays?? I musta missed something. Your husband is full of it. Ask him where he REALLY went.
