if the no of minuses is even it becomes plus,if it is odd it remains as minus

any odd number of negatives is also negative...
so the answer is negative -711

you solve it from inside out.

537-1248 = -711

-(-711) = 711

- {711} = - 711

- [ - 711 ] = 711

there you have your answer : 711

Just do the subtraction inside the parentheses, then apply the negatives in order.
