I've pondered the statement and the more and more I look at it I agree. Taking Conservatives and Liberals you have to look at their core values. What do L's stand for? It seems their whole basis of thought comes from rejecting what C's preach instead of coming up with their own idea's and values, completely seperate of any outside influence, they simply reject in anyway possible the values that C's have. Does this mean they stand for anything? I think not, they just stand for rejecting what C's think. What kind of way is that to go about your life? Got me, thats why I think it really is just a mental disorder. Perfect example, not that I think Bush is great but democrats voted for kerry for one reason and one reason only, they hated Bush. Is that anyway to vote? That is why its a mental disorder, they dont vote or hold values they just reject (right or wrong) any position or value that the C's hold. That is not the way to go about your life, but again try to enlighten me.

... your argument is based on a bunch of hearsay... I voted for Kerry and it was about MUCH more than just "anti-Bush"... I agreed with more points of his platform... health care reforms, education reforms among many other issues...

I seriously doubt you even know any liberals, at least by the way you talk, NO ONE IS THAT NAIVE AND ONE SIDED IF THEY ARE OVER 12...

which liberals exactly did you talk to? what did you ask them? there are idiots on both sides and just saying "they are all idiots" on one side or the other only proves that most likely you are one of the aforementioned idiots...

No, there are people who actually like to help others live a better life. Seeing some people live extremely selfish life styles while others are so poor bothers me. When I hear a statement such as "He who dies with the most toys wins." it makes me sick to my stomach because I know there are people still living in cars and trying to make it one day at a time. The corporations have destroyed what once was the heart of this country, "The Working Class." I don't hate rich people and have led a full life. It just bothers me that people can treat their fellow man like dirt. If that makes me mental then so be it.

It is so sad that the more I come across someone who says they are conservative the more I began to think of all conservatives the same small minded, judgmental, shallow people. It is so sad you could be so uneducated. You really need to open your mind a little then maybe you would not say such stupid things.

libs are socialist at core, and they can't see all that money beign spent on wars and hunts and what have you when we have starving children, ambarrassing education system and expensive medical care. give it to the people, is their mentallity. a mentality i plan on pondering over. i voted for bush, my whole family and i have been conserv. for ever. my parents are in the oil business here in texas. very well off. but i saw the govt. delay in dealing with american citizens during katrina, and i SEE NOW the delay in getting osama bin laden, a killer of innocent americans (who also happens to have family in business with the bush's) and i see the expensive war in iraq that is now turning into a civil war. (umm was that our purpose in "going in" ??lol) so to me conservative may have concrete ideas but they're bad ideas and they're not for the american people. the lib. may not have a "concrete" plan but their "general" plan to take care of our own is a pretty good one. next voting for the first time i and i think my brother and his wife will be voting the demo ticket. a change is coming, so get prepared!

Demonizing those who disagree with you is one of the oldest and lamest debate tactics known. To say the opposition doesn't just have a differing opinion worth discussing, but no - they are *evil, *dilusional, *mentally ill, etc.
Both sides do it, and both sides are equally pathetic when they do. One of the surest signs that your position is flawed is if you have to villify the opposition to strengthen your case.

You're confusing Democracts with liberals. Not all Democrats are lberals, and by far not all liberals are Democrats.

But if you pay attention to people on these forums, most tend to make up whatever definition of "liberal" they want to be the most insulting, so if you are using those defintions, it's a meaningless term.
