I'm wanting to buy a baby hedgehog, I'm not sure which would be better, a male or a female?

My landlords suggested a hedgehog, cause they are mostly caged and can't tear up the house, and I won't have to pay a 150 dollar fee, yes fee, not deposit. I would get a cat if I could, but I can't afford that much. Please, I just need real answers, describing which would be better, a male or female.

Maybe a hedghog is not an ideal pet as they are wild, they are not really kept pets, they belong free. Maybe leave some water and dog food in your garden then many will visit and you get to see many different ones.

I'd say a female. It will probably be healthier and live longer, and may also get tamer than male. Although I don't know very much about hedgehogs.

Hedgehogs are wild animals - they shouldn't be kept as pets. So I say neither. Get a cat
