It depends upon the State, but all States have nuisance laws to prevent neighbors from impeding upon the safety and comfort of others. If the discharge of firearms reduces your safety or enjoyment of your property, you are likely have a right to stop it. I am not a lawyer and laws vary by State, so you would need to talk to a local attorney to be sure.

This all depends on where you live. My family has a farm in Ohio and I shoot there all time the time and nobody has said anything even though I'm sure the neighbors can hear it as well as cars on the road. It's perfectly acceptable there. (as long as you're being safe of course). If you try that in your backyard in the suburbs the cops will be called with the quickness.

You can't shoot a gun near other houses. If you called the cops, the police would tell you what the law says about it and most likely tell them to stop shooting.
