The same reason why most men find Jessica Simpson & Paris Hilton attractive. Though, it's not a quality that remains true in a relationship. I think men like ditziness in girls because they think they're "easier" & therefore less intimidating.

No, ditziness is not attractive. Not at all. Guys can manipulate a girl's ditziness for his own personal gain, but that's all it's good for. Girls who pride on being airheads should not expect to be in many long term relationships or ever meet the guy's mother.

Only the most insecure guys do. Intelligent women intimidate them to no end. They like ditzy women that don't cause them to feel threatened or challenged. It is safer for their ego, to be around a woman they see as less intelligent. Some guys feel the need to reduce women to a level that is more comfortable for them to deal with. WIth ditzy women, they don't have to exert this effort. Furthermore, they are not worried about a ditzy woman being smart enough to figure them out, and to see the self-perceived flaws and other insecurities they are so desperately hiding. And for those guys who are afraid of emotional intimacy, they do not see ditzy women as equals, so they are not worried about sharing any emotional intimacy.

We only like "ditzy" women for one reason and it's not to spend our life with (just maybe 30 minutes)

Many guys see ditzy girls as easier to get in bed--especially after adding alcohol.

It does turn guys on, but it's not something they're going to want to put up with for a lasting relationship.

Yes, for the same reason women love to tease us guys when we fail to solve something (fix the car, make a dumb choice etc.)
It's a way humans connect...there's an opening...the woman acts "helpless." So the guy can first tease a woman, then make her feel secure. And his ego...
She is conveying thru her body language "I am open to talking/discussion/other. I am approachable & need your help/love/acceptance."

Well geez! Check out the "name" here!{mine}Maybe I'm going to have to change mine!{depending on your answers! lol} I'd like to think that having a brain and knowing how to talk and chew bubble gum at the same time is more attratctive than being a "ditz".We'll see!

Some men can't stand to be around a woman smarter than they are.

I think it depends on what they are looking for. For a long-term relationship, no. But for purely sexual relationships, I think it must be easier for a man to distance himself from a girl he considers less intelligent
