Uber religious girl at my school...?

My question? There is a super religous girl at my school. I'm pretty sure everyone has one. I respect her beliefs, just as I do everyone elses, but I hate that she pushes them onto everyone she meets. I feel that she has a right to believe in whatever she wants, but she's so hateful towards certain groups, I want to ask her to stop.

So does anyone know how I can break it to her that I respect her and what she says, but I don't feel the same way? I've tried before, but she keeps pushing. I don't want to start ignoring her, because she seems like an okay person, but her conversion techniques are driving me nuts!

Let her know that her attitudes and remarks are rapidly draining away the respect you'd otherwise be inclined to grant her. If people say mean and intolerant things, it doesn't matter how much they believe they're justified, they're not -- they're just being small-minded, rude and bigoted, and this is never a good thing. It's certainly not the best way to make people want to learn more about you!

I am not a young person, I am 55 years young, but believe or not I have a friend like that. Sometimes we used to get into arguments. Finally I told her we will not talk about religion again if you want to be my friend, we can talk about children, and many other things. Her religion doesn't believe in the son of Jesus and mine does. After not talking for about a week or so, she called me and now we are friends again. But religion will never again come into play. You have to make people understand to respect your feelings just as you will respect theirs.

if sitting her down and explaining to her how you feel does not work. You can try telling her if she does not stop pushing her religious belives on you that she will force you to ignore her and be prepared to do what you say at least for a while maybe then she will get the message. At least you will have warned her in advance so you wont have to feel bad about ignoring her.

You have to be as pushy as she is about your beliefs. Simply say as firmly loudly and repeatedly as she does that you aren't interested. She'll not only get the message but she would respect your for your own pushiness

Explain to her that if she really cares about the souls of the people she is trying to convert, then she needs to back off, because she is scaring them away from her brand of salvation.

Tell her that if she continues to act like she does, driving people away, then it looks more like she acts super-religious for show than out of true concern for people's souls.

Try telling her that while you respect her beliefs, you also expect her to respect yours, and ask her to change the subject. Is she doesn't, tell her that if she can't respect you that you don't want to be friends.

tell her that even jesus forgave judas iscariot and he (jesus) would be angry to hear her talk like that.

then start speaking in some weird eastern-european-sounding jibberish, toss a sprinkle of salt on her, turn around three times and shake your hands at the heavens.

or just hiss really loud at her whenever she says the words "christian" or "jesus" or "god."

either should freak her out.
