Yes, they are still used in some writing and advertisings to some degree."All men are created equal" is an example of a puritan belief which is still in use in association to any of advertisings, isn't it? Let us say advertising for human rights, such belief can be coined .
About the puritan writing , they are also still in use but not used on the entire article in magazines or newspapers. They are just mixed up with the usual way of writing in use in our present era. The plain writing though is still common in writing religious documents lika the Bible particularly the King James version.
There are still a lot of puritans of the modern times thus the puritan belief and writing remains in use in our current time.
