I will never forget those people jumping to their deaths from the towers, this will stay with me the rest of my life. I was at work when it happened, in my office... just as those people in the tower where. Those people that thought they were going to go home after work.

Not to mention the people on the planes, they knew they were going to die and were powerless to stop it.

It makes my blood freeze.

Then on the other hand, humanity did seem to pull together but for a brief moment.

Let's just hope this never happens again.

I am not sure if it is a topic for opinions. It was what it was. But i will say that seeing those images again of people holding hands and jumping out of the windows to their death brought back some of my feelings from five years ago. It made me remember almost how I felt about the incident on 9/11/2001. The sadness and grief. A man on the Frontline special on PBS last night made this remark about those jumpers as he watched them from a helicopter above. He said that if there is a God it is a very indifferent God. I took that as meaning that God does not intervene in affairs/ events on this Earth. A belief that God exists but at the same time we are completely on our own.

To read the names of all the people who died...I think it's a really profound and honorable way to remember the victims. The bell that sounds after each name is a strong yet tragic reminder of what happened on September 11, 2001. I will always keep the Americans who died and the families they left behind in my heart, prayers, and thoughts. God bless America.

I think that they should go ahead and build the new buildings because i think that its very emotionally draining to dredge up the pain again and again.
