Keep in mind: pedophiles, buggers, poligamists... desperately want people to think that they too can't be counceled or treated, and they too should be accepted as OK people with *just an other prefference*, just an other natural sexual orientation to have all the rights imaginable to them...

homosexualism
n : a sexual attraction to (or sexual relations with) persons of the same sex [syn: homosexuality, homoeroticism, gayness]
Symptoms: sexual attraction to people of the same sex, though the word "symptom" indicates disease, which it is not.
Cause: Inborn condition, not a matter of free choice.
Prevention: Cannot be prevented. Many animal species including frogs are known to do it, so it is natural in a certain % of the population.
Cure: What cure? See above, it is not a disease though it was labeled as such until recently.

HomosexUALITY. Debatable causes, though genetics and biology are factors that account for about 60%, I think, of the variance. No "cure." Not even considered an illness in the psychiatric and psychological understanding. It's a natural orientation ike heterosexuality.

I believe that homosexuals are born that way. There is no prevention or cure cause its not a disease. Its arrogant to assume you can cure them, or that they even want a cure.

homosexuality can be thought of as on a spectrum in terms of the genetic component, but environmental influences from the womb on can influence it as well, it not a disease to cure, homosexualism- the word is based on a false premise

I don't think there is a cure. To me, homosexuality is a choice. It's not a disease. Prevention is to just ignore your urges to be attracted to the same sex.
