Ok, I have always worn a "sucker" sign on my forehead for anyone to take advantage of me. I thought it was my appearance that made them think I am a sucer but not so.
Att's computer told me that my card was rejected so I tried again, it did not work. The billing clerk attempted to put it through and did not go. Three payments taken out for one month. My bank seem to favor business because they will not allow me to delite payments.
I attempted to order on line and rejected the offer at the last min. The business took over fifty dollars out of my account. The list goes on. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, let me see if I have this straight-- you called AT&T to pay your bill, it said it rejected your card twice and went through the third time, but then was accepted the third. Then the payment showed up on your statement three times, correct?

You will need to call AT&T and explain what happened. Most likely the first person you talk to will not be able to help you out any, so be persistant and ask to speak to their supervisor.

The same thing with the bank-- give them a call and politely explain the situation. Don't yell, because the person who answers the phone did not cause this situation, and being difficult will not get your problem solved. The same advice applies here-- if the first person you talk to cannot help you, ask for a supervisor.

If this is a consistant problem, you should consider doing one of two things. I personally have my AT&T payment set up so it is automatically deducted from my account once a month. Not only do I not have to take action, but I know that it will function correctly. An alternative is to actually pay your bills right when they arrive, by check. You can send them back via snail mail or visit the nearest payment location.

Debits may be made electronically or by check.

There are Federal laws that protect you from unauthorized debits. Ask your bank for a statement so you can see who it is that debited your account. You might need to request check copies if checks were involved. Did you authorize these debits? Maybe it's for your cell phone, DSL service, credit card payment, utility payment, etc. If you didn't, contact your bank. You have rights. The bank will make you complete a form (and possibly sign an affidavit) and take it from there.

If, however, you gave them permission, verbally or in writing, then the debits are authorized and you are out the money.

yes they do take out money with you not knowing
