AND WHEN DOES YOUR TUMMY GET HARD??

It's physically impossible to have a period when you are pregnant. A period is the sloughing off of the uterine lining which can't happen if you're pregnant, so the bleeding isn't associated with your period. If you haven't already, I would let your doctor know about the bleeding because it could be cause for alarm, BUT don't panic because it may be nothing. My sister bled off and on, sometimes very heavily, during her second pregnancy and her littler girl is now three and was born completely healthy. Definitely consult your doctor. Also there is a great website I have used before babyzone.com, it's got tons of useful info on there, and an ask the expert section. As far as the tummy hardness I'm not sure as I'm not a mommy yet :)

I'm being serious when I ask are you absolutely sure that you are pregnant. If you were continually bleeding I have heard of that...but still getting periods only at regular period time is strange. I would definitely go to your doctor to ask him/her what they think. The answers on here can be confusing or completely wrong or rude...sometimes and especially when people don't take you seriously. I am not really sure about your tummy been hard. But yes you can still get your periods when pregnant. My grand mother was 5 months pregnant with my mum and did not know until she was on the operating table to remove her breast due to cancer. When she woke up They said did you know you were about 5 moths pregnant she said she had no idea about it.they also told her (due to the drugs they had in them days) that she would lose the baby or it would be born very badly deformed. Mum was born and quiet normal. But what I am saying my grand mother not have known must have still been getting her periods at least up until then any way I would tell your Dr about this. Good luck

How do you know you are pregnant ?
you are leaving out to much information .
Did a doctor examine you?
Do not just count on a pregnancy kit ,they don't always work .

hey hunny... maybe you should go and see a Doctor just in case.. I don't have any knowledge about these pregnancy stuff but I think that you should go to the Doctor just to make sure everything is still going right with the pregnancy... good luck !!!

Are you 100% sure that you are expecting? I would see a Dr. Sorry about the dad being in jail-been there done that and it sucks.

if your really woried i would ask your doctor because some women have bleeding through the whole pregnancy so good luck... also if its really light and your have sharp pain go to the emergency room you can be misscaring

I really think you need to go talk to your OB. It could be anything from a low lying placenta to a fragile cervix.
Please se your 'e doctor.

having a period is possible during pregnancy, but you need to make sure your doctor knows. They should give you pogesterone to stop it.
