Oh my, the answers started out so well, then went the other way.
Kim's is being used as a possessive noun. Talk is the simple subject of the sentence. Kim's talk is the complete subject of the sentence. I just reviewed subjects and predicates with my fourth graders today . Trust me.

Apparently there is some confusion among the answerers. The subject of a sentence is the noun that is doing the action of the verb. "Talk" is the subject, "Kim's" is in the possessive case (showing ownership by the use of the apostrophe,) therefore "Kim's" cannot be the subject. (By the way, the subject of the second sentence is "I.")

I hope this helps with the homework.

I would go with the TALK being the subject being as how it says "KIMS TALK" it kinda points right at the subject in the beginning of the sentence. Some sentences subject seem to have many things that could confuse you but this one is pointed out. Also point out they are describing the TALK being interesting not Kim herself.

Talk is the subject of that sentence.
to make it more understandable, kim's is an adjective. take it out and use 'the'. "the talk was interesting." If kim was actually talking in this sentence, she would be the subject.

The "talk" is the subject. Kim is the adjective describing whose talk it was. In this case, Kim is not the noun the sentence is about, her talk is.
