How can if fix the handles on my electric mower?

My handles on the mower are designed to be adjustable but they recently collapsed forward and are getting increasing hard to straighten them back to normal. Is there a clamp that I can get which would prevent this from happening.

I'd buy a couple hose clamps.
Open them all the way up, slip them over the handle, and tighten them back up.
