Mike Tirico and Tony Kornheiser are primo. Joe Theismann can be irritating at times. Good move by Tom Cruise to be seen at an All American event such as an NFL game. I was beginning to think Stonehenge was more his style. Jamie Foxx doesn't detract from the game and most people like him.

I didn't get the Cruise thing either. I'm surprised Kornheiser missed the opportunity to make some "baby Suri" digs.
Those folks have always made press-box appearances on MNF because of that need for the "entertainment" aspect of the program, which is kind of lame, if you ask me.
I don't get it. I don't understand why ESPN would dismiss Al Michaels and John Madden from the ABC family, when they've been the marquee names for MNF for a few years now.
If they wanted to elevate their Sunday Night team of Mike Patrick, Paul Maquire and Joe Theismann, fine. But then they broke up THAT group and installed Mike Tirico (a fine play-by-play guy but who hasn't done NFL games) and an admittedly non-football guy in Kornheiser. I think Tony is funny and all, but I just don't understand the logic.

Thought the opening was weird with Waylon Jennings having to saying ESPN instead ABC. I think ESPN was trying to draw people with celebs-Redskins owner is backing Cruise's new movie company. Announcers are still boring wehter on ABC or ESPN.

Tirico and Kornheiser are actually pretty good, but Theismann is more than a little irritating. Ironically, the Nessler/Jaworski/Vermeil team that did the second game is better than the first crew.

Kornheiser is a breath of fresh air, and even though Thiesman is irritating as always, he seems to know what he is talking about. I would give ESPN an A-.

I think it's just weird to have two games for MNF. I live on the east coast and there is no way I can even stay awake for the end of the second game.

i won't be watching Monday Night Football again, as long as ESPN is running it. ABC was much better when they were running it
