When I turn the truck off, it goes to zero. I take the key out. sit for a minute with the key out and the temperature gauge will go back up to 210. mind you the truck is off and the key out. it will go to 210 then to 0 then back up to 210 on and on unitl i just un hook the battery for the night so it doesn't drain.

all i can tell you is to take your car to a shop where they specialize in electrical problem. trying to fix it your self sometimes comes out more expensive.

I think you have an electrical problem for sure, but the only way of knowing that is leaving the battery connected and check it to see if it is draining, if it is than you definatelly need to take it to an auto electrician since that is a very complicated thing to repair since you need specialized tools and wiring diagrams, good luck!

The gauge is returning to its at rest position. You've only just now noticed this since you have installed the battery.Nothing to worry about.
