I figure a guy's perspective never hurts. First off, congratulations on the marriage, I wish you the best (I also am engaged). The fact that you are a virgin is admirable because the world today has really destroyed the beauty of virginity in a woman. My fiance was a virgin with me, and to quote her, the pain only lasted about 5 seconds.
As a guy, make sure to let your future husband know how special this moment is for you, and to be gentle (he should understand). To you, just relax, because if you are tense, then your pelvic muscles will get tighter (hence making you tighter and the possibility of pain is increased). Make sure that he "warms you up" before you do it because that will relax you for the real thing. One final note, make sure to use plenty of lube that way penetration is as smooth as possible. Aside from that, I hoped this proved helpful, especially coming from a guy.

It hurts a lot of times because the woman is tensed up down there, not allowing the muscles to relax and make room for his penis. Make sure you are buzzed, a few drinks will do the trick, that will help. Make sure to use lubrication, because you are so concerned and nervous you may not get wet.
I would suggest doing it before the wedding so that the day of the wedding you don't have to worry about bleeding or pain or nervousness, you can actually enjoy it.

Your first time will depend a LOT on the attitude of your new husband. Talk to him frankly about what you expect of him BEFORE you get married......and counseling never hurts either if it is from a qualified counselor (especially a spiritual counselor if you are religious).
Don't worry about the pain. You have experienced worse if you ever stepped on a bee.

My first time didn't hurt , it just depends. My friends sister who is getting married is 28 and has never had sex, I can imagine being 23 and a virgin but not 28, more power to her I guess

I think you should be more scared of the life long commitment to this guy more than his little member.
It only hurt the other girls because they were teen agers. You're a woman and you'll be fine.

the first time is uncomfortable at first and all but it feels good too but afterwards ull be sore and walk alil funny its not all its made out to be ..ppl talk bout it like its so bad the first time and all that hell its usually over so fast u dont notice it ...it gets good the 4th time on ..and i been havin sex since i was 13 so i think id be the one to ask since i am 35
