I am going to be in a Miss Apple Blossom pageant. I am competing in evening gown and casual wear. I also need a cocktail dress or street-length party dress. Thats beside the point. Casual wear is my problem. I've never been in a pageant before :D. I need to know how "casual" exactly can casual wear get? I know not to wear jeans and a tank top, but i need ideas on good, tasteful casual wear. Please help?

casual wear usually is a sunday dress, something u wear for church services or weddings or gatherings. if it s for pageant...it's different for u there in the US coz ol i know is how we do it here in the phils.for i choose to wear something red or maroon coz it easily attract the judges eyes show some flesh to make u look stand out. also carry with u some accesories to put drama on ur outfit. but better yet ask ur pageant coordinator to help u.

My daughter was in a pageant. The winner wore long boots, the shorter pants, a white blouse and vest and a really cute hat. I imagine she also wore cute jewelry but I couldn't see it. That would be a guideline for casual wear. Whatever is in style right now and looks good on you. I think the addition of the hat won for the girl I'm talking about.

since it is "casual wear" i would suggest u wear something like maybe some capri's with a shiny halter top and a long sleeve jacket that goes just above ur mid-waist. GOOD LUCK

causal floral flowing skirt and a nice shirt worked well for me.
Pants can be worn, but I'd go for a nice skirt from Ann Taylor or Nordstroms. If your on a budget try Newport News.
