I've been designing and making jewelry for a few years now and I've decided to try and get my jewelry sold in some local stores. I'm just curious as to what type, style, and color of jewelry people are really into these days. Any input would help me a lot.

take a look in the fashion magazines, and watch ET to see what the celebrities they interview are wearing... also check out the newscasters... the females all wear fashion jewellery ....

Turquios and silver has always been in style here in the southwest. Some like short earrings and some like long. I make earrings too. I have for about 10 years. I make a large variety of styles because everyone likes something different and some people like several different types in their own collection. I go around to businesses that allow soliciting and to coffee shops and the flea market and the bars. I just put them on a crocheted board or plastic canvas so the stand out better and I carry the board around. I have also gone to truck stops to sell them when we travel.

take a look at the unisex cuff links called "punch cufflinks"
They are made by a women from New York that is becomming very successful. Take a look at the punch cufflinks and from there you can visit her site that has some very amazing, hip and simple designs that are getting into all the smaller. high-end fashion stores all over the place. Some very elegant designs.
If you can come up with something in this fashion, I'm sure you would do very well.

I've heard the silver is really popular now. Go onto www.claire's.com. They have some links on there about fashion and trends. They don't have many pictures on the fashion but on its home page if u click where it says icing by claires you'll find a bucnh of fashion ideas and especilly jewelry.

Natural stone jewelry is making a big statement in Fall fashions. Purple is huge as is metalics. Consider consigning your jewelry to specialty shops. You might be at the start of something big.

I love bangles. I love gold. I love rhinestone earrings gold or silver. I have seen rhinestone crystals with different color crystals that is nice, you shoild try that. A lot of people are wearing wooden bangles or brown or turquiose bangles, they're cute.

i love earrings that dangle. and i love those type of necklaces that go all around your neck, but don't dangle. and i hate rigs. i love the bracelets that you have to wear in sets. i love the gold and silvers too. hope Ive helped.(I'm the most fabulous girl in my school.)

tell Beverly she needs to make her rings without the little loop holes on the backside of them whilst they hang... as quickly as I first commencing making them and gaining expertise of I made that mistake too... it does not seem professional. different than that... severe high quality internet site yet alittle expensive.
