Milli- is the prefix meaning one thousandth as in:

millimeter

milliliter

milligram

millisecond

Centi is one hundredth for example centimeter (one hundredth of a meter).

Nano is one billionth as in nanosecond.

Inch is a standard unit of measure in the standard English system of measure.

Ok, lets see...

-inches: well, you know the definition of that one
- nano: is defined as 1 part in 10^9 or 1x10^-9
- centi: is defined as 1 part in a 100 or 1x10^-2
- milli: is defined as 1 part in 1000 or 1x10^-3

So the answer is (d), milli.

Please review so you can familiarize yourself with these concepts.

Those are your basic prefixes. You should be able to answer your question from there. You should also be able to answer several more questions similar to that using that diagram. Or you can remember the anagram "King Henry Died Badly Drinking Chocolate Milk" - whatever works best for you.
